Things got chippy Tuesday in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers.

Pacers center Myles Turner and Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo got tangled up with 4:27 left in the third quarter at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The two were grabbing at one another as DiVincenzo tried to fight through a Turner screen. The pair went face-to-face as referees and teammates tried to separate them.

Here’s another angle of the exchange, which shows DiVincenzo using some colorful language directed toward Turner.

Both players were hit with technical fouls for the altercation.

The Knicks had just outscored the Pacers 16-1 over the five-minute stretch preceding the on-court beef. New York’s scoring run was capped off by a DiVincenzo putback slam that gave New York an 86-64 lead just seconds before the blow-up.

DiVincenzo had quite an eventful night against the Pacers. He was also seen chirping with Indiana guard T.J. McConnell earlier in the contest.

Emotions were understandably running high at such a pivotal juncture in the series. The team that wins Game 5 in a series tied 2-2 has historically gone on to advance 82.8% (164-34) of the time.

The Knicks demolished the Pacers, 121-91.
